Programming in C:
1) Write the program for Binary Search .
I wrote a recursive algorithm and then she asked me what is the disadvantage of using recursion ?..
I explained her the structure of process in memory ... And wrote an alternative solution....
Also she asked me to calculate the complexity of binary search algorithm and its class....
2) Given an address 0x5555 and a value 0xdafeeaa (64 bit).Using pointers assign value to that address...
unsigned long int* p=0x5555;
*p=0xdafeeaa;
then she asked me what is wrong in the code and would it compile ?.....
I explained her paging , segmentation and how a process is allocated memory before it starts its executions....
3) When you compile a program , what are the different stages of compilation ?
then she asked what happens when you compile a program ...
Operating System:
1) How do you create a file??...
Using a system call depending on the API ...
2) What happens when you use lots of fopen and then dont close the file...??..
i explained her about the memory leak in Operating system...Then she asked me about the system call to use to prevent this ....
3) What is file system?
4) Difference between fork() and vfork() system call...
5) What is a zombie process and how would create one in Unix ?...
