Accenture off campus drive held on 12th of march 2011 in bangalore. This drive was organized through e-Litmus and everyone having above 70%ile in eLitmus was called to attend the drive.
There was no written test as eLitmus score was used to shortlist the candidates for further rounds.
There were 3 rounds:
1.Group discussion
2.Technical interview
3.HR interview
There were eliminations at all three levels.
1.GD:
After arriving at the venue,we were divided into groups of 15 and were sent for GD. There were 2 moderators which were from Accenture.They gave us the choice of either coming up with a topic among ourselves or they will give a topic.Many people came up with different topics and finally we decided on \'Role of Youth in Politics\'.Then the discussion was started and we were given about 10 minutes to discuss.The time was less for 15 people to speak but they were there to take people not reject them. Everyone who spoke and put some points was selected. Only those who didn’t open their mouth or were very aggressive and not allowing others to speak were rejected. Overall about 12 from 15 were selected and only 3 rejected. In some batches all 15 students were selected and the elimination was very low in this round.
To clear GD is very easy if you speak clearly,put some valid points,listen and allow others to speak.
2.Technical interview:
After GD we waited for some time for interviews. Finally the technical interview started, we were made to wait in a room and the coordinator was calling candidates for interview one by one based on the roll no.Finally i was called for technical interview, there was a big room where there were 4-5 interviewers sitting at different places and the interviews were going on simultaneously for different candidates.
My interviewer was a lady who was very polite and cordial. She asked me to sit down and tell something about myself. After that she looked at my marks card and started asking about my favorite subjects.As i am a mechanical engineer i told her 2 of my core subjects, then she asked about my project to which i explained in detail about my project and its different aspects. Then she asked 2-3 questions from some subjects that i had studied in engineering. Then she asked me whether i know \'C\' to which i replied that i know basics of C and i had studied it in my first semester. She also asked me why i want to join an IT company despite being from Mechanical background.
After this she told me she is done and that i can go and wait outside. After 2 min. a coordinator came and told me that i am through and asked me to move to another building for HR interview.
3.HR interview:
Finally after waiting for a long time i was called for the HR interview. It was being held in the library and simultaneously a lot of candidates were being interviewed by HR\'s at different corners of the library. I was told to go to one of those corners where my HR was sitting.
My interviewer was a young woman in her late twenties and God she was Gorgeous.
She was reading my resume and asked me a lot of questions like
-Tell me about yourself
-Strengths and Weakness
-Long term and short term goals
-Hobbies (I said reading, then she asked about what kind of books, currently what i am reading, about that book,etc.)
-Why Accenture, why IT industry
-What do you know about Accenture
-Asked me to speak on something for 2-3 minutes, i spoke on some current affairs topic
-Asked me to repeat what i have written as career objective in my resume (so read your resume nicely before interview)
-About my project
-Finally about working at any location, working in shifts, bond etc.
It was the longest of all the rounds for me, but it went good.
