I took it gladly, as I have a good work ethic.

When I went to university, it was much simpler times. I simply looked in the local newspaper, and landed a position running a fast food shop. It was not an ideal fit for a college graduate, but I took it gladly, as I have a good work ethic.

Actually, I worked every Summer during my college years as well, so it was not exactly a completely novel experience

Advice to First Job Seekers

I encourage job seekers to take the long view and to avoid making mistakes that block their long term prospects such as inappropriate  photos and posts.

I also would say that they must understand that they should be learning their entire lives, and be ready for serial careers, as the life cycle of job titles, maybe even entire industries, can sometimes be measured in just a few decades.
