About Institute
HETC is a Government Aided Degree Engineering College run by Hooghly Engineering & Technology College Society, a non-profit Organization engaged in the promotion of Technical Education amongst the students and the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the Society. It started academic functioning from session 2004 - 2005 and at present offers the following B.Tech courses:

 Computer Science & Engineering
 Electronics & Communication Engineering
 Electrical Engineering
 Civil Engineering
 Mechanical Engineering (since 2010)

All the courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. The College is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. The Admission to the college is made from the merit list of WBJEE to the extent of 90% approved intake and the rest 10% through Central Counseling from the merit list of AIEEE.
