About Institute
Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College, Hyderabad was founded in 1981 with three disciplines. Over the years it has grown from strength to strength and is a premier technical institute in Andhra Pradesh. The total student strength at present is over 2300. There are 124 well-qualified faculty and 146 skilled supporting staff. After completing two decades of excellent service in Technical Education, the college has celebrated its Silver Jubilee year in Feb. 2007.
The courses are affiliated to Osmania University and are approved by AICTE. Diploma holders join into II year under 10% supernumerary quota as Lateral Entry through Convener, ECET. The BE programmes of Civil, Computer Science, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering have been accredited by the NBA of AICTE in September 2007 for a period of 3 years. The postgraduate course M.E.(production) has been started in 2005, with affiliation to Osmania University with a permitted intake of 18.
