Vivekananda Institute of Technology (VKIT) is one of the most prestigious engineering colleges in Karnataka established in the year 1997 by Janatha Education Society. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belgaum, approved by the All India Council for Technological Education (AICTE) New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. The students and alumni of VKIT are colloquially referred to as VKITians. VKIT has carved a niche for itself for its best technical education provider in the State.
