Genesis:
Shri Shankaracharya College of Engineering and Technology is the first Engineering College in India to be named after Adi Shri Shankaracharya and blessed by the all-present jagadguru. This college was commissioned during the session 1999-2000 with the goal of providing undergraduate and postgraduate education in Engineering and Technology, a close interaction with industry, and a strong emphasis on research.
SSCET has grown steadily in size and activities during the last five years of its existence. During the session 1999-2000, the yearly enrollment was 240 students whereas today it is 570. SSCET attracts the very best talent from Central India and around. In recognition of its achievements,courses of SSCET have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. In addition to this, the institute is also ISO 9001:2000 Certified. We strive to become and to be recognized as one of the prominent technical education centers in India.
