About Institute
The College (KGIET, Darapur) was started in August, 2008 under the aegis of Shri Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust, Amravati and is committed to the development of the student\'s personality as well and therefore conducts social activities like Meditation Camps and Awareness Drives for Family Planning, Employment for Rural Youth, Diagnostic Camps and Computer education for the poor. Guidance Center for Competitive Examinations and schools for Physical Education in rural areas are also run by the Trust.
The Trust provides qualitative and invaluable service in the field of education, especially for the poor and the down trodden classes of the society. The Trust was started by our Hon\'ble Patron, Shri. R. S. Gawai – Governor of Kerala State.
