Osmania is India’s the seventh oldest University and claims - amongst others - President Abdul Kalam amongst its alumni. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council or NAAC is an autonomous body set up by UGC. The NAAC has given Osmania University an “A” rating in 2008, and ranked 10th in the country as per an independent survey conducted by India Today group in May 2010.
