About Institute
IFET College of Engineering was started in the year 1998 by eminent industrialists and some benign NRIs to promote education and research in the field of Engineering and Technologies. The college is run by the Indo French Education Trust, which has dedicated itself in helping the rural youth in acquiring an understanding of Technology and its importance and value in day to day life as its vision and mission. The campus spans over an area of more than 45 acres in the open rural setting abutting NH 45-A, 14Kms from Villupuram and 26 Kms from Puducherry. A strong Infrastructure of human and materials resources is the secret behind the academic excellence achieved by the Institution. The college is accredited by NBA for all the Under Graduate courses (Mechanical and ECE for Five years and EEE, CSE, IT for Three Years). We also have Civil, MBA & MCA departments. The college is ISO certified since 2003. The college is also certified by CISCO as a local academy.
