The students of BIT secured 33 University Ranks along with one Gold Medal in the April/May 2009 examinations.
BIT has secured the 1st Position with the percentage of 95.66 among colleges affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore Zone, Anna University Trichy Zone and Anna University, Tirunelveli Zone and 2nd Position in the overall ranks in the State during the April/May 2009 University examinations.
On-going Research Projects with the grant-in-aid to the tune of Rs.7 Crore from funding agencies like DST, DRDO, AICTE, DSIR, TNSCST, DBT, etc.
Bit was one among the top 69 engineering colleges (including IITs, NITs, etc.) in India as per Data Quest Survey December 2009 based on the parameters – Placement, Infrastructure, Academic Environment, Industry Interface, Institute Response and HR Response.
More than 4500 students are in 23 programmes in UG, PG & Ph.D./MS *By Research) level.
