Being first job seeker you can get placed only when you strike right opportunity at right time with the best preparation. There is no shortcut!

Victory comes to the hungry!!!

Friends!!!

Although I was supposed to follow the sequence of my last article ‘Employability Vs you’ but again got one more example of “victory” and hence I am here with one more article with some inspiration and motivation. I was always told that people give up when they are the closest to success. They lose the sight of the goal because they run out of patience and/or self-confidence

If only they had held on tightly for a little while longer, if only they had braved out one more hit, if only they had not exhausted their patience and belief, they would have been victorious. I would prefer to stay away from political point of views but would discuss a big take away of Anna hazare’s protest against corruption. It took him 12 days of physically debilitating fasting to get the results he thought and at no single point he lost his patience or belief.

However, for him there was no benchmark, no criteria, no limits, no reservations but he had only one motive that he kept up until he got the things done which would be difficult otherwise for  someone of a weaker resolve, an  immense example of ‘Do or Die’ or “Now or never”. He proved that old age cannot deter someone from achieving their goals if only they set their minds to it with an unshakeable commitment and perseverance. Our career perhaps is not as deserving as the cause this valiant man set out for, but it sure is in no way any less of a target for us to achieve excellence in and persevere.

I am happy that we are getting live examples of success where we are becoming the crucial part. Anna Hazare’s moment was not only the example of patience but it was an example of consistent patience which turned entire country to achieve single goal. My friends, I have no doubt in our abilities to get things done by sheer hard work, perseverance and belief. I am just in mood to realize ourselves that the same approach can work for all of us in all our work.

Sometime back i read somewhere, “Victory comes to the hungry” (well, no pun intended in relation to Anna’s protest) but hungry here symbolising the true passion that one needs to be successful in any endeavour they may undertake. In order to be victorious and successful, you’ve got to want it more badly than anyone else, you’ve got to be so persistent in your efforts that you can actually taste success when you are near it. You’ve got to be able to take one more hit, go one more mile, climb one more inch. Go after what you want, all in with all you’ve got. Don’t stop at 99.99%, go for the last 0.01% because that’s what separates winners from losers.

We all have some goals, be it about getting placed, about growth in career, our education and learning, we must not forget the above examples and also remember “FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION”

Looking forward for your positive replies and dedicated commitments.

Cheers!!!

Parul Sharma

I agree failures are a stepping stone to success, but the failures brought on by our own faults and lack of commitment are not. To carve out perfection, sometimes you have to defy laws and traditions.
